Colours
"Catch something red!"
Claw Joy · Ages 3 to 7 · Free on Android
Your child thinks they're trying to grab the star plushie. Meanwhile they're matching colours, spotting shapes, sounding out words and practising the steady hand that pencils and buttons need later.
There are no ads, no countdown pressure and no loot boxes. The whole game works on the sofa, in the car, or on a plane with no Wi-Fi.
Free to download and play. Android 7.0 and up, on phones and tablets.
Most claw games on phones are one tap and a dice roll. In Claw Joy your child does the work, and a catch feels earned. That's why the next go feels exciting instead of compulsive.
Swipe or tap to line the claw up over the toy the game asked for.
Press grab at the right moment. Aim and timing decide the catch, so luck doesn't.
Move the prize across and release it over the chute. A miss costs nothing, so they try again.
The game reads every target out loud, so children who can't read yet can still play alone. You pick the focus from the parent area, or leave it on Mixed.
"Catch something red!"
Circles, triangles, stars and more.
Recognising letters, each one read aloud.
Short first words like CAT, DOG, SUN, HAT, FISH and MOON.
Simple adding and taking away, with answers up to 18.
Every round. Steering, timing the drop and carrying the prize all take careful control.
Four difficulty levels run from an extra-forgiving Quick Play for the youngest players up to Hard for confident seven-year-olds.
A machine full of toys, a shop they fill with their own tokens, and something new to do every day.
20 toys to catch, from plushies to robots, plus 3 seasonal toys that change with the month. Each toy has its name drawn above it and comes as Common, Rare or Legendary, so there's always something special to hunt for.
Every catch earns in-game tokens, never real money. Kids spend them on 16 claw skins, sound packs, sparkly claw trails, avatars and accessories, and 8 machine themes: Classic (free), Neon, Pastel, Candy, Ocean, Jungle, Dino and Space. Each theme restyles the whole cabinet, and some bring a matching sound pack.
Three fresh daily missions, five scavenger hunts with three things to find in each, and timed challenges with score multipliers for older kids who want a race. Magnet, Time Freeze and Mega Grip power-ups help with the tricky catches.
In the Toy Playroom they arrange caught toys, change the decor and hatch surprise eggs. They can draw their own toy and add it to the collection, then turn favourite catches into colouring pages or a whole colouring book you print at home.
Kids love a surprise and parents hate slot-machine mechanics, so every surprise in Claw Joy is fixed. A Mystery Capsule always gives the same reward, surprise eggs hatch their toys in a set order, and the daily gift wheel lands on the same prize all day. Your child gets the delight without the "one more spin" hook.
We built every setting on this list for parents, and we put each one where a child can't change it.
No banners, no pop-ups, and no "watch a video to continue".
The whole game is free to play and complete out of the box. Everything in the shop costs tokens earned by playing. Any optional extras live behind the parent gate, so a child can never spend real money on their own.
The Parent Dashboard, extra playtime, the bedtime unlock and difficulty changes all sit behind a multiplication question with answers from 9 to 144. A wrong answer brings a new question, and the answer never appears on screen.
Set a daily playtime limit: 20 minutes by default, adjustable up to 3 hours. A voice gives a heads-up at 10 minutes and at 1 minute left. When time's up a friendly break screen takes over, and you can grant 30 more minutes from behind the parent gate.
Turn it on and the machine "goes to sleep" between the hours you choose, 8pm to 7am by default. For a special occasion, one parent question unlocks it for the night, and it goes back to sleep on schedule tomorrow.
The Parent Dashboard shows catch accuracy, motor precision, response speed, colour and letter recognition, and a 30-day trend. Send yourself a weekly summary PDF to keep or share.
Sensory Calm Mode turns off screen shake and softens effects and sounds. There's a colour-blind friendly mode, large easy-to-press controls, and a layout that adapts to tablets in landscape.

We ship updates every week. Recent ones include:
Children aged 3 to 7. Quick Play mode and spoken prompts let pre-readers play on their own, and spelling, maths and Hard mode keep older kids busy.
